Thanks for all your support. Reaction to our first issue was enormously encouraging. It seems that we have been able to please most people with magazine-style news and views from around the Barkly.
The next test of support is with sales. The chances are that if you have got this far you have already paid your two dollars and bought a copy. I'm pretty sure you will have got your money's worth.
This issue will be promoted throughout the Barkly and this will hopefully lead to more contributions from further afield. Here in town we are surrounded by vast tracts of land with all sorts of fascinating people living a wide range of lifestyles.
We'll be heading out into the desert to boldly go where no local media outfit has gone before.
There's a lot happening around the place at the moment and we'll be bringing these stories to you as they unfold.
Possible mine closures, the Statehood convention, the Tennant Expo and the new Employment Enterprises are all issues that will affect the town.
If you have something to say, or if you have an issue that you think should be raised, drop in to our office and discuss it with Gemma or myself.
As you can see from this issue we managed to encourage a few creative talents to have a go and we hope more people will have a go in future months.
