ANOTHER MONTH,
goes by and there's no Barkly News Pictorial to be seen. Sorry, they'll come out every other month until I get a helper and the economy picks up as well.
This month's cover features Bill and Pearl Cross. Bill is the new CLP candidate for the Barkly and I grabbed the shots as he jumped off the 'plane after an arduous initiation in Darwin.
We've got his first thoughts about the new job on page 23 but he begged to be allowed more time before going into detail. Stay tuned for an in-depth interview in the next issue.
This month we have the story of two aldermen, one leaving and one joining. The council has had its share of criticism of late and Tony Boulter certainly had some controversial things to say.
We have published the interview with Tony Boulter word for word even though he uses some alarming language. The Barkly News Pictorial is not in any way condoning his views but rather giving him the right to have his say.
The army is back in town and there's some talk that they could establish a permanent base in the Barkly. Darwin has the navy, Katherine has the airforce, Alice Springs has Pine Gap so it's only fair that we get a bit of the action around here.
Thanks for visiting, come again soon.

What a gusher! A bit of careless driving in Eldorado Crescent recenty made for some great water-sports for the kids.
